Is there a minimum or maximum age limit?
No, all we ask is that you hold a current driving licence.
How can I pay?
Payment can be made by clicking on the sign up page with your debit or credit card. You’ll also have the option of additional extras to help make your day even more special. Payment is secure and is direct with the company.
I have no race experience, will I have a chance?
Definitely. This is the only race scholarship in Europe, where there are 2 assessment criteria for 1 prize. The first being those who have never held a race licence before. The second will be those who currently hold an MSUK Circuit Licence. This mean’s that if you have never entered a circuit race before, you will be assessed against those in your group who have also not entered a circuit race before. This keeps the opportunity and prize fair for everyone.
I do have race experience, what happens to my group?
You’ll be placed into the ‘experienced’ group of competitors so as long as you retain a National B or higher circuit licence. Note that if you have completed under 6 races and are required to show an X signal on your car, please enter under the standard group and not race group. For those in the race group, all of the activities and assessments will be exactly the same as the main group. The key difference is the criteria in which we expect to grade you on.
Where will the rounds take place?
They will all be held UK race and kart circuits. Full information including directions and arrival times will be sent to you in your welcome pack. We start the scholarship at smaller tighter circuits to review performance, building up to full size Silverstone Formula 1 Grand Prix layout circuits with faster cars at later stages.

Can friends and family watch me?
Definitely. We fully welcome all friends and family to all of the events to see you in action.
What cars will I be driving?
This depends on the round you are through to in the scholarship. You’ll begin with 2020 Spec race cars for round 1 and such as Citroen C1 or Renault Clio race cars. For future rounds you’ll then progress to more powerful race cars such as Caterham's, Ariel Atom and Radicals.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at any of the locations.
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes, you can.
When is round 1 for 2020 entries?
The provisional date for round 1 is Saturday 17th October 2020. You will receive your final instructions pack confirming the date with a minimum of 8 weeks notice prior to the day.
Can I reserve a helmet just for me?
Yes, at the sign-up stage after adding the Scholarship round, press the continue shopping tab and then add the exclusive hire helmet option. This is then yours for the duration of that round to use.
Is a cash alternative available?
There is no cash alternative. The scholarship is designed to take the budding racer or a complete novice through a programme of development from a beginner through to being capable on the grid of the BTCC GT4 Ginetta Support Race.
Who will be assessing me?
We have a team of race instructors and multiple championship winners who will assessing you all to the criteria outlined to them. These criteria will depend on whether you have a current race licence and do not have an X signal on your car. They will be working with you at the beginning to help pick up on any major issues and then it’s down to you.
How many rounds will there be?
There are 3 assessment rounds followed by a quarter final round, semi final round and then the main final round. You'll be notified if you have been successful within 1 week of the round you have attended.
